Style Your Dining Table with Natural Elements and Organic Decor for 2019
So have you heard?? They are saying that natural elements and metals like copper and brass will be big in 2019. Well, I’m all about those things and thankfully, they will always be a part of my decor. See how I incorporated them into the perfect table decor for Winter with one of my new favorite shops.
I love using organic elements and lots of texture in my decor. So I was thrilled to learn that “Natural Elements” and “Earthy Flora” are two of the Decor trends to continue in 2019. Think stone, concrete, metals, wood and of course plants!
I recently fell head over heels with a company that I would proudly display throughout my entire home! Have you heard of HKLivingUSA? Well, you have now and…you’re welcome!! 🙂 I know you will love them as much as I do!
I used a few of their gorgeous pieces in my latest dining table decor.
I layered my table which is by far my favorite table ever. I have linked a similar one here in case you’re looking for one.
So how do you create a table that is both warm and inviting and full of interest? Layers and layers!
1. Textiles
Rather than use a tablecloth, I added these White cotton and metallic placemats. The white stands out against all the wood and the metallic gives it a little boho glam!
I also added dark grey linen napkins for another touch of color and texture.
2. Wood you say?
While it may seem odd to add more wood to a wood table…wood has many colors and variations and is always a beautiful choice. So let me show you how I added more!
I used my vintage breadboard as the centerpiece. These boards are something I collect and love to use throughout the kitchen and dining room.
Then I added these handled wood plates from HKLivingUSA as a base for the place settings. They are so beautiful and add so much charm to the table…like mini breadboards.
I used a black faux “wood” plate on top for contrast.
HKLivingUSA also has these organic mango wood plates that I stacked on the table. I love how they are each unique in color and shape.
3. Metals
You know I love gold and brass. I had these metal gold cups and they added the perfect touch. When creating spaces, you have to think “texture” and you have to think “tones”. By combining warm woods and cold metals you bring out the best in both.
I also added my gold flatware, because it makes even a simple table setting seem more special! Why wait for a special occasion to use the good stuff! Right?? 😉
And let’s not forget to mention my never-ending collection of vintage brass candlesticks. I splashed a few around the table for some vintage elegance. Whenever I see them at thrift shops or yard sales I grab them. I never pay more than a couple of dollars for them, but they look so much more expensive when displayed. 🙂
4. Add some Greens
Now that we have our layers almost done it’s time to add some of that “Earthy Flora” I mentioned earlier. I absolutely love plants and herbs in the kitchen and dining area. But, it’s not always the best thing because those lovely plants also bring insects. So when I find a good Faux Flora…I’m all over it! These beautiful greens that are sprinkled all over my table are all faux and couldn’t look more real. From the bare bulbs to the rooted stems. I LOVE them and they are all from HKLivingUSA. I simply added them to some glass vases I had and they look perfect!
So there you have it! My stylish table all set and on trend for 2019! It’s going to be a fun year! Be sure to check out my friends at HKLivingUSA and be prepared to fall in love!! Let me know what pieces you get and what your favorites are. I’ll be sharing more of my treasures on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest. I hope you follow along!!
See you soon!

I’m head over hills for your stunning dining table! Thank you for sharing the 2019 color and home decor trends! It’s incredible how seamlessly you’ve managed to incorporate wooden details on top of the wooden table and still make everything look so elegant and sophisticated. Also, I love the boho chic coming from the dark grey napkins and placemats! So beautiful and inviting!

Love!! So pretty! I bought some stems from HK Living but am having a hard time finding vases like yours. You linked 2 of them in your “shop the hive” – the small one from Wayfair which has a 1 inch opening (may be too small for the one I bought) and the other link doesn’t work anymore. where can I get some of those round vases like yours on your table?? I have the stem but no vase 🙁 Thank you!! Oh, I’m in Orlando area so if you got them locally, please share!

Thank you Julie! I’m so happy you got some. I would suggest looking at HKLiving for their wicker wrapped bottle. Otherwise, I have found some really good ones at Homegoods,TJMaxx and IKEA Orlando. My large round one is a vintage chemistry bottle. I love it. Hard to find though. Hope that helps!
