One Room Challenge Urban Industrial Vintage Laundry Room Week 4
It’s Week 4 of the One Room Challenge, hosted by Linda of Calling it Home and House Beautiful. I’m so excited to share our Urban Industrial Vintage Laundry Room with you! If you’re just joining me, Welcome! You can see what we’ve done so far, click here for Week 1 Week 2 and Week3. Let me show you the latest!
Do patterns scare you? I realized shortly after making my inspiration board and selecting materials, that I had a lot of patterns going on in this space…and textures!
“The trick to using patterns is to keep them in the same or complimentary color palette.”
I’ve counted at least 5 patterns to date being used in this small space and that’s not counting my accessories. But they look amazing and each pattern adds so much interest to the space, as well as texture. It’s all in the layering.
You know by now I’m not going to reveal too much. But let the peeks begin! 🙂 I discovered a new product and the company that makes it has quickly become another new favorite. Say hello to my new Marble!

The ladies that own and operate EZFauxDecor are top notch! Not only is their product amazing, but it’s like talking to a friend when ordering. I needed a little help, and they rescued me…on a weekend no less! How cool does this look?
If you are looking for a product to resurface an area, i.e. cabinets, counters, appliances…check this out! Easy to use, no tools required, they provide you with everything you need! Great DIY! You won’t be disappointed. Now that I’m experienced… 🙂 I’m ready to tackle another space!
Here is Peek #2 for this week.
How’s that for texture? Since I had a lot of white going on in the space, I wanted to add a little warmth and what better way than with wood…rustic, beautiful, knotty wood! Once again, these products that are being made these days are amazing! With a few small tools and a cold beer Mr. BeesNBurlap and I were able to knock this area out in a day. In fact, this was his favorite project he said. Was it the beer or the smell of fresh cut wood? hmmm.
Anyway, the people at Stikwood were so helpful. They helped me figure out where to put the wood and where NOT to. This is another great DIY that is easy to do, with very few tools required. You can be so creative with this product and they have so many selections to choose from. I can’t wait to show you which one we chose and how we incorporated it in the space!
Can you guess what the next pattern is?
I’ll give you a hint… The Shade Store came to the rescue with these! 😉 Did you know they have like a gazillion patterns and choices too? Again, thank goodness for incredible customer service and support. I must have requested at least 25 swatches…all which they graciously sent. Then they provided estimators so I wouldn’t screw up the measurements and finished with a professional installation…so no headache there.
I asked the installer if he ever had an install like mine…he said No! But he liked the way I used them. You’ll have to wait and see what I did at the reveal! It’s not what you think!
So that’s 3 patterns I’ve shared and if you add the wall treatment from Week 3, that’s a total of 4 so far. How do you think it looks?
I’m adding some very priceless art to the space as well. This was done by my youngest who is truly talented and an incredible artist. The colors were perfect for the space. I found this great hanging frame at Homegoods and I can’t wait to display it. I’ve sourced a similiar one for you here.
So let’s review the To Do List.
