Modern Fun Boho Decor Bathroom – Looks like Bubbles!

I’ve been struggling with our guest bath…it just wasn’t feeling like “me.” So I took some time to think about what I wanted, shopped our home, and bought a couple of new things! I think I finally got it right. For me anyway. I hope you like it!!!

I wanted something that was a little different… a little edgy… a LOT of fun… and of course reflected my love for modern and boho decor. I think I got it all!

The Focal Point

If you have been following me for any time at all, you know I love Art! When I saw this shower curtain, I knew it was the one!!! Such a fun piece and the colors are beautiful!

With such a bold piece, front, and center…I wanted the rest of the decor to be simple.  Fringe gray towels from Macy’s, and black and gold accents. But my favorite “new addition” are these paper lanterns on the ceiling. They remind me of bubbles!

I know what you’re thinking…paper and water don’t mix!!!

Add the Fun!

As long as the lanterns are far enough away from the showerhead you’ll be fine. And worst case they are super affordable and can easily be replaced. For us, this shower is hardly ever used since it’s in the guest bath so the water and steam aren’t an issue. For now, I’m just going to enjoy how cool they look!

Small Spaces, Creative Storage

I added some nesting acrylic tables I had for some storage. The light and airy look keeps the space clean and uncluttered. Whatever you do… don’t look at the rug… 🙂 I said don’t look at it. Someone forgot to fix the corner. 😉

On with the tour…

I added some tall pampas grass for texture, along with a vintage milk glass vase and a gold hammered pitcher. Mixing textures and styles is what gives this space such character.

On the opposite wall, I added a couple of gold wall vases and dried florals in hot pink. To complete the look, I added some hot pink protea to my white modern vase.

That’s it…my refreshed Guest Bath! Whimsical, artsy, modern, fun…all those words come to mind when I look at it. I love it! I hope you do too! I have plans for the floor next. Stay tuned…a DIY is on the way!
