How I gave our Master Bedroom an Industrial Boho Refresh in 24 hours
I finally did it! I’ve waited over 10 years for this…but it’s finally done!
When we moved into our home we painted every room including the exterior…except one. The Master Bedroom. Why? Because the color was fine, a neutral and I liked it. Also, because I had 3 kids, 2 under the age of 5 and a whole lot of work going on. Our bedroom would have to wait. But I’ve always wanted to paint it or put up wallpaper, but you know how it goes…Mom and Dad are always last on the list. So when Mr. BNB was going out of town for work I thought “here’s my chance.” I worked with my favorite wallpaper shop Milton & King and picked out exactly what I wanted. Ta-Da!
White Brick. Yes, another wall of brick!! I love it!!! If you have followed me for a while you know I’m a huge fan of brick wallpaper. It’s timeless, it’s classic and gives texture to any room. It’s one pattern I honestly never tire of. I have it in my Laundry room…
I have it in my She Den…
And now I have it in our Bedroom.
But notice they are all different. When it comes to choosing a pattern Milton & King have so many cool ones. It’s like choosing the perfect white paint. There are a lot of them and that’s a good thing! 😉
Also, it’s easy to install. I tried a peel and stick paper from Target…never again! Not that all peel and stick are bad because I know some of you have used them. But for me, good old fashioned pasted wallpaper is so easy. My girls and I did this in an afternoon. What a difference it makes.
Also, we added a new and Oh-So wonderful hybrid mattress from Jennifer Adams Home and can I just say that both myself and Mr. BNB have slept better than we have in years. This mattress just forms to your back and pressure points and you sleep like a baby.
This is an honest review…I actually held on to our pillow-top mattress while we “tried” this one out. After a week, I said let’s take the old one to the curb, b/c I’m never going back. 😉
I love that it arrives in a box, so it’s easy to carry upstairs and it unfolds in minutes. I also added this beautiful quilted bedding and handwoven basket for decor also from Jennifer Adams Home.
Adding different textures creates a cozy space.
Next on my list is a set of those amazing sheets from Jennifer Adams. Then I might never leave this bed. So there you go…after 10 years Mama’s room finally got some TLC and I’m in love!! When I walk in it feels like a brand new room and it didn’t break the bank. I shopped our home and moved some accessories around.
To all, you hard working Mom and Dad’s out there…go on…treat yourself! Create an oasis…add some beautiful wallpaper from Milton & King, they have so many patterns to choose from. Then hop on over to Jennifer Adams Home for all the finishing touches! You will thank me for it later!;)
