Create Your Dream Country Kitchen and Dining Space with Metrie
I think there is a universal truth to the Kitchen being the Heart of the Home! This is especially true here in the South, where the focus is to sit and visit a while! 😉 But how can you make your kitchen cozy yet stylish? See what new DIY products and tips I’ve discovered to help you make the “heart of your Home” even better and enter to win something special for your Kitchen!
This post was sponsored by Metrie. All ideas and opinions are my own.
The Kitchen is so important because it’s where families and friends eat meals, share stories and tend to hang out. With so many homes having an open floor plan, the kitchen and dining room tend to be one space. I know in our home this space is the most popular part of the house. Because we spend so much time in it, I want it to be functional, comfortable and of course, reflect my style.
Want to know my favorite tip to achieve just that?
Layers of Texture.
When a room lacks texture it can feel sterile and boring. Adding these layers doesn’t have to be overwhelming. You can do it by:
- Adding texture and patterns to the wall.
- Using multiple colors whether it be a colorful or neutral palette.
- Decorating with accessories…for me the more eclectic the better.
I’ve recently started adding more texture to my walls. With so many incredible products out there now, it’s easy to do more than just paint. In fact, one of my favorite companies Metrie has come out with a new product that makes it even easier to make your walls stand out, and in turn, the whole room. Metrie has a new line called Option {M}. Metrie has taken the most sought-after home décor styles and, together with designers, curated interior moulding and door combinations that create big impact while being budget friendly. 😉
What do you think? Doesn’t this space just say, Come on in ya’ll and stay a while? Are your eyes drawn to the Red Hutch, the Wainscoting, the Moulding or the accessories? Here’s a secret…they all work together to create those wonderful Layers of Texture I was talking about.
Instead of having a cookie cutter space, why not make your room look like it was custom built! By using Option {M} by Metrie all the hard work is done for you. They will provide you with all the elements you need to add those special touches from the walls, to the ceilings, to the door.
This is the Option {M} style Country by Metrie. It’s designed to give you that cozy, comfortable feel that will make you and all who stop by, want to sit and stay a while! By adding details like the Wainscot Cap to your Wainscoting, you can display your collectibles in an interesting way. Bring dimension to the space with paneled doors and crown moulding.
Finish the room off with furniture that you love and collected pieces, some old…some new. One last tip for adding texture is to literally add different textures.
- Glass – Bottles, Pottery, Vases
- Metal- Wall Art, Containers, Clocks
- Woven Materials – Baskets and Rugs
- Woods – Breadboards, Bowls, Trays
Create the space that you want to come home to. The Option {M} Country is casual and welcoming and is the perfect way to add Layers of Texture to your home.
Now comes the fun part and a chance for you to win some amazing prizes! Over the course of 6 weeks’ Metrie will be introducing 6 styles of its new Option {M} products. I’ve always been a huge fan of architectural elements in a room, like bead board, wide baseboards, crown molding, etc. I’ll have to check out Metrie – hadn’t heard of them until today. I love all your farmhouse accents!
