Cozy Winter Wonderland Outdoors with Bed Bath & Beyond
This year has been challenging to say the least. But in some ways, it’s brought families together, made HOME more meaningful, and created memories.
I’ve had time to work on spaces that normally have been on the bottom of the list. Funny enough, these are now our favorite spaces to spend time in. Thanks to my friends at Bed Bath & Beyond we have added another beautiful and cozy space just in time for our “Florida” Winter.
Bed Bath & Beyond realizes that many are making the most of their outdoor spaces these days and they have created a Cozy Backyard Collection to help you make the most of your space. Big or Small. Take a peek at what we did recently.
Since many of you saw the changes we made around our firepit last month, we continued with the idea of creating cozy, useful, and beautiful spaces. In case you missed Part 1 of this makeover, click here.
Define the Space
The first thing we did was swap the dining space with the lounge area that we had. Funny how much bigger it all felt when we did that.
By simply adding the curtains it gives the feel of an outdoor dining room.
When the wind blows it has a very ethereal feeling as well. Note to self…always add curtains! 😉
Decorate, Layer and Repeat
I created this gorgeous tablescape with pieces from Bed Bath & Beyond. Laying textures and subtle pops of color, along with lots and lots of candles and twinkle lights.
First I added the tablecloth and Mongolian Fur Runner. I love the color and the texture is just over the top.
I mixed gray wine glasses with Taupe colored Scandinavian vases and sprinkled in some clear glass candleholders. The mix complemented the runner perfectly.
For that added bling, I brought in the gold. The antler candlesticks are incredible. Made of metal and gleaming in gold they are so unique and perfect for Winter.
I added these chic Kate Spade plates for a fun pop of color.
The Lounge
We took what was just an area and created this fun and super comfortable lounge area. The first piece I got was the teak daybed. It’s solid and has a small footprint so it’s great for any size space.
I added this outdoor leopard print rug to define the area.
While we have a large firepit that we use for big fires…I wanted something easier to use for when it’s just a couple of us and this one is perfect. You can use wood in it, but I decided to add the fire gems and just use a portable fire source. It’s easy to turn on and off whenever I feel like a small fire and it’s perfect for this space. And I love how the gems just sparkle.
I got a bright white side table and I love that it’s made of metal and perfect for the outdoors.
And let’s not forget the softest throw ever!!! I mean it. I don’t think I’ve ever had a softer one. It’s THAT good. You have to get one before they are gone.
Lighting
I absolutely love these paper lantern “Lamps” I got from BB&B because they are battery operated and so easy to move around.
I also added solar lanterns around the firepit and they add another fun element and tie the two spaces together.
Of course, you can’t forget the string lights. I got quite a few and put them everywhere I could. Aren’t they beautiful?
So there you go…an outdoor dining space…a cozy lounge area and we can’t forget the ultimate Firepit.
Which one is your favorite?? Which one would you add to your backyard? Don’t forget to check out the Cozy Backyard Collection by Bed Bath & Beyond. Enjoy these moments…keep making memories!!!
