An Iconic Mid-Century Piece in the Living Room
Over time, my style and tastes have changed. But there are some pieces that I have always loved. Some styles that are just iconic. I’m so thrilled to have added another piece that has been “on my list” to our home.
Thanks to my friends at Eternity Modern, I have a piece that I’ve admired for a long time. They have some of the most beautiful and well-made furniture on the market. If you’re looking for a showstopper…they have it.
HOME
Especially over the last year and half, we have all come to love our HOMES even more. We’ve definitely used them more, so comfort has been priority number 1! But how do you balance comfort with style? Thankfully to some great furniture designers, you don’t have to.
Known as the “Master of Chairs”, Hans Wegner was one of the most influential and leading figures around interior design through the 1940s to 1960s.
When I was able to welcome this Flag Halyard Chair inspired by Hans Wegner into our home…I was over the designer’s moon!
Comfort & Style
I wondered…how would a chair that was made with rope feel? Will it hold up to family life and be comfortable? What would my family think of the style?
Let me tell you…They LOVE it! My son said it reminds him of a Star Wars fighter…best compliment he could give. My husband likes to try and get to it before me so he can lounge in it…and my girls think it’s super chic in the space. As far as comfort…it’s like a modern recliner. I could easily nap in it. How’s that for an honest review. 🙂
My focus these days is on quality over quantity. I like having statement pieces that will last. You don’t need to sacrifice comfort for design. I have my eye on a few more pieces at Eternity Modern. They have everything you could need from the Bedroom to the Outdoors. Easily my new favorite furniture source.
Don’t Wait
So is there a piece you’ve always loved? Or a style you’d like to try? I say go for it.
Home will always be important to us…why not make it the way you want. More and more I’m focusing on creating not just a look but a feeling. Hopefully, this room reads, “cozy, welcoming, comfortable and beautiful.”
A big “Thank You” to my friends at Eternity Modern for this beautiful piece…I’m looking forward to adding more beauties to our home! 😉
